Major applications
Teijin's products are used in paper machine clothing for paper production as well as other industrial textiles such as conveyor belts at airports or supermarkets, and filtration fabrics for liquids (e.g. beverages and wastewater).
Moreover, Teijin monofilaments are employed in the braided tubing protecting electrical wires and cables in vehicles. They are used for car interiors, for instance in mats, not to mention spacer fabrics in innovative seating designs. Spacer fabrics are also used in a variety of ways in the furniture industry, aircraft seats and mattresses.
In addition, Teijin's monofilaments cover niche segments such as tennis racket strings and artificial hair, and also have a number of very specific medical applications like surgical thread and blood filters.
